Well, I am very new to this site...and already have gotten three paperback books that were on this site at Chapters...love that store!! I read quite a bit of true crime, and in between will take a break by reading bio-thrillers or courtroom drama books. But one thing on most of the true crime books that I have...are the words " with 10 pages of shocking photo's ". Now here's the kicker: can anyone tell me why the people who add photo's to the book think that a group of law enforcement people are shocking? Or a lead investigator sitting at a desk is shocking? How about an empty car? And believe me, many books i have read have this statement on the cover, or backs of the books. I think the more aptly stated...photo's included is great. Besides, people who are avid readers of True Crime know there may be a picture or two that will be not for the novice true crime book reader. Goes with the territory. If ya want to see truly shocking pictures..pick up motorcycle biker books or mafia type books...pictures not for the squeamish!! I have, and always will enjoy my true crime books for the nature of it all, and all the details involved. And the great authors that write them.
